Greetings from Bro
Bro is a small beautiful community in the heart of Bohuslän. Climbers travel from near and far to get here. Lena Mossberg, one of the driving forces behind it all, wanted to reach the ones who hadn’t found it yet. So we built Greetings from Bro, an interactive, playful and alive digital world, to let anyone step inside before they ever make the drive.
Bro is a place you have to find. Tucked into the granite landscape of Bohuslän, it has grown into something quietly remarkable: a bouldering hall, a hotel, a coworking space, a recycle shop and more, all sharing the same rocky corner of Bohuslän. The challenge was making that experience tangible to someone who has never been there.
The brief started as a digital twin. It became something more interesting.
Together with Lena Mossberg of Bro Coworking and Villa Bro, we built a stylised 3D world that captures the spirit of the place rather than replicating it. The rooftops carry the same warm terracotta as the real buildings. The bouldering hall is red and towering. The grass is a little too green. The sky a little too blue. It feels like a summer memory.
Visitors explore the world on their own terms. Each of the six venues has its own character, its own story, and its own interactions. Between them, small surprises: a cozy fireplace that lets you explore night time Bro, hovering postcards, chatty citizens. And rising above it all, Hällerklippan, a physics-based climbing minigame that is easy to understand and genuinely hard to master.
Built in Three.js, the experience runs in any browser without downloading a thing. We believe it is the first interactive 3D world built for a super small rural experience area. We hope it will not be the last.
